At an auction on Saturday, I was digging the packaging for Minnesota brand macaroni shells.
I can imagine the girl having a Selma Diamond voice and she says — “I like to stick the macaronis up my nose.” — followed by a strange rattling noise as she laughs.
Oh, all these bygone brands. I’m really surprised that Kraft or Nestlé or some such hasn’t tried to revive and monetize them for niche hipster markets.
I’ve surprised at all the competition that Velveeta had back in the day. The little wood boxes that show up at auctions have all sorts of processed cheese product/food brand names and companies on them.
